VHalia Tomato Rice

Tomato Rice VHalia

 

Ingredient list A:

  • 2 ½ cup of rice
  • 3 cups of water
  • ½ cup of evaporated milk
  • 3 tablespoons of tomato puree
  • 3 teaspoon of VHalia
  • 2 pandan leaf
  • Salt (for taste)

 

Ingredient list B:

  • 1 staranise
  • 2 cloves
  • 3 cardamom
  • 1 cinnamon stick, 5cm in length
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 inch of ginger (slice thinly)

 

Method:

  1. In a wok, heat up the oil with medium heat fire
  2. Using a mortar and pestle, pound the ingredients in ingredient list B.
  3. Put the pounded ingredients in the wok, and cook for 2 minutes, and mix
  4. Lower the fire, and add rice. Cook for 1-2 minutes
  5. Add water, evaporated milk, tomato puree, VHalia, pandan leaf (crushed), and salt
  6. Put everything in a rice cooker and cook until rice is ready.
